Tax Protestor Leaves Waiter Complaint About Tax Instead Of Tip

A California server received an unusual—and shoddy tip, which recently showed up on Reddit. In lieu of a tip, a customer left a card explaining the necessity to cut back on discretionary spending—including gratuities—as a direct result of Proposition 30 and President Obama’s insistence he or she pay “my fair share in taxes.”

A photo of the card was first posted by Reddit user nickshambo who claimed it was left for a friend.

“I’d be livid,” he said.
